In the Haudenosaunee native peoples Thanksgiving Address there rests a constant reminder that we already have everything we need. It recognizes the abundance that constantly surrounds us rather than scarcity - and is a pledge of interdependence and of gratitude for all that is given to us in every single moment, day, year…..lifetime.
Spring inevitably brings with it a landscape of rebirth and renewal reminding us of the resiliency of the natural world... and of our very own being. Going beyond the surface of story to the energy of the cumulative experience....
Most every day I pass by this particular tree in the image above. It has always struck me as a shining example of the intelligence of trees - to not only live, but thrive, no matter what the circumstances or conditions. .
This is a time of great upheaval, shifts….. and changes that must be made if we are to survive and eventually thrive. There is great loss as the imbalance that has been caused by humans wreaks havoc on all forms of life.
